Dr. Nina Deep, M.D., is an award-winning physician who is passionate about women’s wellness.
After becoming internal medicine board certified in 1998, she served as a primary care physician for 12 years before founding Nina Deep, MD Aesthetics. Her boutique practice in Columbus, Ohio is dedicated to delivering exceptional care that enhances patients’ self-esteem and overall well-being. That’s what a TV station told Dr. Deep when she submitted a commercial for her medical practice about vaginal rejuvenation.
Dr. Deep pointed out that the station runs frequent commercials about solutions for men’s sexual health issues—specifically erectile dysfunction. She pleaded her case and the case for women at large. But the station wouldn’t budge.
When they censored her commercial, they inspired a mission.
Dr. Deep has since become an outspoken expert on women’s sexual wellness and well-being. She is an educator and advocate who teaches these truths:
For centuries, women have grown up with extensive socialized shame around their sexuality—often without realizing it.
From middle school to medical school, educators rarely teach about the clitoris—a woman’s sexual organ—focusing instead on procreation rather than pleasure. This not only inhibits many women and their partners from fully enjoying intimacy, but it also results in doctors causing unintentional surgical harm to women because they’re simply uneducated about women’s anatomies.
Women should understand their anatomies to protect themselves from surgical harm, unlock sexual pleasure, and become self-advocates everywhere from the bedroom to the boardroom.
